Miva tracking tips

You can use AxROI to track the results for any pay per click search engine. Just as with Google AdWords, you can use variables when tracking your Miva campaigns.

AxROI helps you track your PPC campaigns as efficiently as possible. With AxROI you have the information from all PPC search engines in one easy-to-use place.

Use dynamic destination URLs in your Miva ads

By using dynamic destination URLs, AxROI can track exactly which keyword has been searched when someone clicks on your Miva ad.

For example, you can use the following link as the destination URL in your Miva ads:

http://www.your-domain.com?k=<<Keyword>>&se=Miva-Ad-01&p=<<ClickCost>>

The <<KeyWord>>variable will insert the searched keyword in the URL. The <<ClickCost>> variable will insert the cost for the click. If you then view the statistics in AxROI, you will see detailed click and conversion statistics for every single keyword that has triggered this Miva ad.

General tip for your Miva ads:

You can also use variables in the title and description of your Miva ads:

  • Use the variable <<searchword>> in your title and description and the searched keyword will be displayed in small letters in your title and description.

  • Use the variable <<uasearchword>> in your title and description and the search keyword will be displayed with a capital first letter in your title and description.

Note: Replace www.your-domain.com with your own domain name in all example destination URLs and adjust the bids accordingly.

IMPORTANT:

The tips above work only with Miva versions that previously had the Espotting logo (i.e. European Miva versions). The US version of Miva does not support these variables.

You can use the $(idreplace)$ variable instead of the <<Keyword>> variable with Miva US (formerly FindWhat). Miva US does not have a variable for the click cost. Details can be found here.
